Waitrose - Community Matters
Each month, every Waitrose branch donates £1,000 (£500 in convenience shops) split between three local good causes. The charities and community groups are selected by nominations from customers and Waitrose employees. Kindly nominate Bliss by picking up a nomination form at the Customer Service Desk in store. Complete the details then hand the form back to Customer Services.
The form is very brief, and will take just a couple of minutes to complete. Simply write your own description of what we do, and why Bliss is important to you. For example: "I am nominating Bliss as 90,000 babies are born premature or sick each year in the UK. Bliss supports the families, researches to raise standards of care and campaigns for babies’ rights".

Sainsbury’s - Charity of the Year
Every Sainsbury’s store supports a number of charities nationally, but each store also chooses a charity of the year to support through various fundraising events. You can nominate Bliss to be your local Sainsbury’s charity of the year in just a few easy steps.
- Visit the store and speak with the manager.
- A Bliss staff member or yourself may need to visit the store as a representative and give a short presentation to the staff.
- Charities will then be shortlisted and will go to public vote around May/June. This is when you encourage all your friends and family in the area to pick up a flyer and vote for Bliss in store.
- The winning charity will then be announced and they will plan fundraising activities for the year.
NB: This takes place at each store, including Sainsbury’s Local stores.
Moto in the Community - Charity of the Year
Local community partners with Moto Service Stations benefit from opportunities to visit their partnered Moto site, exhibit their publicity material and collect for their own registered charity on specific fundraising days. They can also benefit from the grant scheme.
If you live near a Moto Service Station please get in touch with the Bliss Events Team so that we can help you with your application.
Local community partnerships run from 1 January to 31 December, but applications are invited throughout the year. You may be asked to visit your local Moto location to present information about your charity to Moto staff.
