Nurseries and Toddler Groups
Our smallest supporters can make the biggest difference! With all that energy and fun, why not take on a Toddler Triathlon, a sponsored class walk, a little hero dress-up day or get creative with a scavenger-hunt. Every penny counts!
Fundraising at School
The return to school after the summer holidays is a great time for your school to fundraise for Bliss! With World Prematurity Day (17th November) and the Festive Season around the corner, pupils can aim sky-high with their fundraising.
We have lots of fundraising ideas to get you started:
Hold a Bake for Bliss bake sale, selling lots of delicious treats to raise money. Host a school Bliss Little Lights sponsored walk and light up the night for babies born premature and sick.
Hold a non-uniform day or if your school hosts an annual show or concert you can donate part of the ticket price or collect on the night!
Students can be responsible for their own social-action or health projects, from developing action plans, presenting, debating and seeing their ideas come to fruition or even nominate Bliss as their Charity of the year!
University and Colleges
Whether as an individual student or part of a RAG or other society, there are lots of ways to get involved.
From a bake sale, film night or pub quiz on campus to an entrepreneurial business challenge. By fundraising and volunteering for us, you won't just be helping us support the lives of babies born premature and sick – you'll also be improving your skills.
Get people involved
Think of ways you can get lots of different people involved. You could:
- Try to gather parents, grandparents, students, teachers as well as the local community together.
- Encourage the school council, PTA and governors to come up with fundraising ideas or help your ideas.
- Approach local businesses and ask them if they are willing to donate any prizes, sponsor or promote your event. Ask us if you would like a letter of verification.
Keeping your event safe & legal
- Ensure children are not approaching strangers for sponsorship.
- Food hygiene - work to the standard rules (you can find advice on Food Standards Agency website).
- Raffles – see more information here.
