Heartfelt Support for Bliss Ambassador Sarra Hoy

Sarra Hoy

We have been deeply saddened to learn that Bliss' Ambassador, Lady Sarra Hoy, has been diagnosed with an "active and aggressive" form of multiple sclerosis, at the same time as her husband Sir Chris has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Sarra became an Ambassador for Bliss after the premature birth of her son, Callum, and since then, she has been a tireless advocate for premature and sick babies in neonatal care, and their families.

From our work with Sarra we know that she has always believed that by helping families in neonatal care feel less alone, we can improve outcomes for their little ones. Sarra has done this in so many different ways, drawing on her own family's experience, both through her work with Bliss as well as her own work with Balbairnie to develop ways for parents to be closer to their babies in neonatal care.

Now, it’s our turn to show Sarra that she is not alone as she navigates the challenges ahead alongside her husband and family. Courage defines the Hoy family and we are sending love, strength and support to them on their journeys from everyone in the Bliss Family.
